Canal Plus May Increase Carolco Shares: Carolco Pictures will allow Canal Plus, a French media company, to buy up to 1 million more shares of the company’s common stock by Friday. In a Securities and Exchange Commission filing, the Paris-based media company said it may buy up to 902,100 shares of Carolco. Canal Plus already has a 5% stake in Carolco. The new stock purchase would up its holding to 8%.
