Fit To Scout Wins Miss America

Fit To Scout followed pacesetter Amy Louise for six furlongs, then took over and romped to a five-length victory over Vielle Vigne in the $100,000 Miss America Handicap Saturday at Golden Gate Fields.
The winner, ridden by Julio Garcia, returned $9, $5.40 and $2.10 after covering the 1 1/16 miles in 1:39 4/5.
