White House to Resume Public Tours Next Week

WASHINGTON — Public tours of the White House, suspended out of fear of terrorism during the Persian Gulf War, will be resumed next Tuesday, officials said Monday. The tours were halted on Jan. 16 as U.S. forces led the allied invasion of Iraq. It was the first time that they had been suspended since World War II.
