Countywide : Last Call Issued to Recycle Phone Books
- Share via
The countywide effort to recycle old telephone books is drawing to an end, prompting officials to encourage residents to turn in their outdated books immediately.
Tuesday is the last day to turn in phone books, and drop-off bins will be open this weekend, said Victoria Hand of the Countywide Recycling Consortium.
The organization of private and public agencies is sponsoring the effort.
Drop-off bins are identified by yellow banners and are located in major supermarket parking lots and at city halls, Hand said.
