Soviets to Monitor A-Test in U.S. This Year

GENEVA — Soviet experts will visit the United States later this year to monitor an underground nuclear explosion, the first such trip under a new U.S.-Soviet treaty, the U.S. mission in Geneva announced Monday.
The nuclear test will be monitored under the Threshold Test Ban Treaty, which came into force last December, the mission’s Daily Bulletin said.
