My two damning quotes were taken out of context. Following a litany of nameless quotes attacking Spike’s character, I say, “He’s a troublemaker.” The context of the quote makes it seem I’m speaking about Spike’s interpersonal dealings and not his public persona, which is what I was talking about.

As for my comments on Spike’s unwillingness to help others: My reply was part of a long statement about how he is perceived by ex-employees and friends. The total comment spoke to the spectrum of opinions about my neighbor.

Some may dog Spike, but I’m not one of the hounds!
