A 23-year-old Santa Barbara man was stabbed repeatedly in the back early Sunday at Club Soda in Ventura by a fellow patron whom he may have bumped into on the dance floor, authorities said.
Jimmy Lester White Jr. was in fair condition with multiple stab wounds Sunday night at Ventura County Medical Center, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Ventura Police Sgt. Bob Velez said detectives are investigating the possibility that White unknowingly antagonized another patron when he accidentally brushed against him.
White staggered out the front door of the club in the 300 block of East Main Street as the assailant, believed to be about 19 years old, fled through a rear exit, police said.
