OXNARD : Guardrail Repairs Slow Commuters
- Share via
Repairs to a guardrail slowed southbound traffic on the Ventura Freeway for hours Monday afternoon, California Highway Patrol officials said.
A traffic accident that occurred on the Rose Avenue overpass in Oxnard Saturday night damaged the guardrail, the CHP said. The rail began to hang over the freeway on Monday, and Caltrans crews were called to the site about 1 p.m.
Only one lane was open while repairs were under way, causing traffic to back up to the Santa Paula Freeway until the repairs were completed about 6:30 p.m.
