GM Closure Due to Excessive Benefits

The General Motors plant in Van Nuys is a valuable community asset.
Economists have been talking about economic conversion for quite a number of years. Here is an opportunity for our City Council and Board of Supervisors to prove their initiative and vision. We have so much that we need in our country, so many avenues of creativity that this plant can be converted to. So many experienced technical and state-of-the-art workers.
It would be a crime to let these people remain idle and not take advantage of their skills and expertise.
