Ben Johnson, who finished fourth in the 100 meters at the Canadian national championships, reportedly was dropped from a race in Sweden on Aug. 5 because of disappointing results.
Bengt Bendeus, organizer of the meet in Malmo, said he cancelled a contract worth a reported $160,000 for Johnson to race Carl Lewis and world record-holder Leroy Burrell.
