Voguish: Madonna will strike a pose for AIDS Project Los Angeles when she attends Wednesday’s premiere/benefit for the documentary “Paris Is Burning” at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences Samuel Goldwyn Theatre in Beverly Hills. The film looks at voguing and the Harlem drag balls where the dance was born--the inspiration for Madonna’s hit song, “Vogue.” A party at Catch One will follow the 8 p.m. screening; people in full drag will be admitted free. Director Jennie Livingston’s film, which was named best documentary of the year by the Los Angeles Film Critics Circle and the Sundance Film Festival, opens in L.A. on Friday.
