Standard Pacific Calls Special Meeting: Standard Pacific L.P. has scheduled a special meeting Nov. 22 for its limited partnership unit holders to vote on the proposed conversion of the Costa Mesa home builder back to a corporation. Standard Pacific became a limited partnership in 1986 to eliminate the double taxation on corporate profits and on shareholder dividends. Under the reorganization, each limited partnership unit will be exchanged for one common share in the corporation.
