PerfectData Reports Profit Unchanged in 1st Quarter

PerfectData Corp., a Simi Valley maker of products for cleaning and maintaining computers, said its fiscal first-quarter profit was virtually unchanged from a year earlier despite a 20% increase in revenue.

The company’s net income for the quarter ended June 30 inched up to $139,000 from $138,000 a year earlier, while revenue increased to $1.7 million from $1.4 million.

PerfectData said its limited profit gain reflected non-recurring costs in the latest quarter associated with its purchase of the assets of Anchor Automation Inc.
