Opera Angers Victim’s Family

Ilsa and Lisa Klinghoffer were outraged by “The Death of Klinghoffer” after seeing the opera about their father Leon Klinghoffer’s killing over the weekend.
They issued a statement expressing anger at what they called the exploitation of their parents and the murder of their father in a production “that appears to us to be anti-Semitic.”
“While we understand artistic license,” the daughters said, “when it so-clearly favors one point of view it is biased. Moreover, the juxtaposition of the plight of the Palestinian people with the cold-blooded murder of an innocent, disabled American Jew is both historically naive and appalling.”
