THOUSAND OAKS : Phone Forum to Be Held on Jungleland
- Share via
Thursday will be a call-in day in Thousand Oaks in preparation for a community forum next week on the city’s controversial Jungleland project, officials said Monday.
Workers in City Manager Grant Brimhall’s office will take the public’s questions between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. They can be reached at 496-8601 or 497-8611, Ext. 200.
Brimhall and Mayor Frank Schillo are scheduled to answer the questions during a meeting next Tuesday at 7:30 a.m. at City Hall, 2150 W. Hillcrest Drive.
The project includes a 1,800-seat performing arts auditorium, a 400-seat forum and a new city hall at the site of a former wild animal park on Thousand Oaks Boulevard and Conejo School Road.
Last year, city officials decided to provide pamphlets and respond to questions raised by the public about the $63-million project after a group of activists criticized the development as a waste of money.
