A Standing Ovation: Choreographer Bella Lewitzky’s stand against the National Endowment for the Arts for its attempts to restrict arts funding has earned her a $3,000 1991 Hugh M. Hefner First Amendment Award. The Playboy Foundation award honors individuals for their defense of First Amendment rights.
