South Torrance 18, Mira Costa 17--Two touchdowns by tailback Ryan Brady in the last three minutes and a two-point conversion by quarterback Alan Hook with 1:35 left lifted the Spartans to a nonleague victory at Mira Costa.
Inglewood 26, Crenshaw 6--Senior running back Nail Benjamin rushed for 105 yards in 14 carries and scored three touchdowns to lead the Sentinels (1-1) to an intersectional victory at Crenshaw.
Locke 36, Roosevelt 14--The Saints (1-1) scored 24 points in the fourth quarter to break open a close nonconference game at Locke.
Marshall 30, Grant 0--The Barristers (1-0-1) scored on their first possession and built a 17-0 halftime lead.
Top Performers
* Amado Coleman, a defensive back for Locke, had 10 tackles and returned a kickoff 94 yards for a touchdown in the Saints’ 36-14 victory over Roosevelt.
* Jose Rodriquez completed nine of 12 passes for 228 yards and three touchdowns in Marshall’s 30-0 win over Van Nuys Grant. Rodriquez’s touchdowns covered 77, 33 and 44 yards.
* Clemente Sainten of Arroyo Grande rushed for 241 yards, with touchdowns of 78, 65, 35 and 26 yards, to lead the Eagles’ to a 27-6 victory over San Marcos.
* A.J. Carreon and Nate Padilla of Mountain View scored two touchdowns each and combined for over 300 yards rushing, in the Vikings’ 24-7 defeat of Salesian.
* Saladin McCullough rushed for 240 yards and two touchdowns in Muir’s 27-23 loss to Fontana.
