Condoms on Campus

Hooray for the Associated Student Council of San Diego State University!
As a past graduate student of SDSU, I often found political and social activism on campus less than obvious. I was exhilarated when I heard on the news and read in The Times that the Student Council had made such an intelligent, socially responsible and less than politically acceptable move to place vending machines with condoms in restrooms throughout the Aztec Center. I was even more proud to learn that the council will be donating the 12-cent profit to the student health service campus education program on AIDS.
May the hallowed halls and restrooms around campus all soon contain the gift of life.
