Former Gov. Wallace Is in Hospital With Infection

MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Former Gov. George C. Wallace was hospitalized in fair condition Friday for treatment of a urinary tract infection. Wallace, 72, was admitted Thursday to Jackson Hospital because of a problem that has recurred periodically since he was paralyzed by gunshot wounds during his 1972 presidential bid, a hospital spokeswoman said.
