MURDER ABROAD: UCI professor Marshall Houts heads to Russia this week as a guest of a Russian police magazine to study how murder investigations are handled there. . . . Houts, clinical professor of forensic pathology at UCI Medical School, will tag along in Moscow on a murder case, from the crime scene analysis to arrest and prosecution. He’s written an as-yet-unpublished book about murder investigation in China. Houts says this trip will form the basis of a second book.
