To maintain bus shelters, the city has hired a nonprofit agency that provides job training for disabled adults.
The City Council on Tuesday voted 5 to 0 to pay Valley Light Industries Inc. $5,200 a year to remove graffiti and pick up trash each week around the nine city shelters. Valley Light provides the same services in La Puente and West Covina.
