BASKETBALL ROUNDUP : Estrada, Faith Baptist Upend No. 1 Brentwood

Senior guard Alex Estrada had 20 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds Saturday night to lead host Faith Baptist High to a 79-66 upset of Brentwood in a Delphic League boys’ basketball game.
Brentwood (12-3, 1-2 in league play) is ranked No. 1 in Southern Section Division V.
Senior guard Darren Wyre scored 22 points to lead Faith Baptist (10-5, 1-1). Etienne Moore, a 6-foot-5 senior forward, added 12 points and 21 rebounds.
In other boys’ basketball games:
Laguna Beach 76, Moorpark 52--Ryan Huisenga and Dan Sannago each scored 12 points to lead Moorpark in a nonleague game at Laguna Beach. Moorpark trailed, 21-9, after one quarter.
Village Christian 54, Paraclete 50--David Fennell and Vic Lozano each scored 14 points and Village Christian (5-9) pulled out a nonleague game with a strong fourth quarter at Paraclete.
MEN
Cal Lutheran 91, La Sierra 47--Every Cal Lutheran player scored at least one field goal and Jeff deLaveaga finished with a team-high 15 points as the host Kingsmen rolled to a nonconference win.
Oxnard 56, West L.A. 53--James Parker scored 21 points and Art Wallace added 11 to lead host Oxnard (10-9) in a Western State Conference interdivision game.
Valley 72, Cuesta 62--The Monarchs (11-8) trailed by as many as 11 in the first half before putting away the Cougars in a WSC interdivision game.
Russell Baldwin paced Valley with 29 points and added 13 rebounds. Teammate Randy Brown added 23 points and 17 rebounds.
WOMEN
Valley 74, Cuesta 60--Stacie Toon scored 22 points, including 10 free throws without a miss, and added 10 rebounds to lead the Monarchs (17-3, 3-0) in a Western State Conference interdivision game at Cuesta.
Trailing, 23-14, midway through the first half, Valley switched to a full-court press and built a 37-32 lead at the half.
Ventura 70, Bakersfield 41--Cori Herman scored 20 points to lead the host Pirates (16-5, 4-0) in a WSC game. Venessa Hackett added 16 points and 13 rebounds.
Canyons 75, Moorpark 51--Shannon Solway scored 22 points and grabbed 15 rebounds to lead the visiting Cougars to a WSC win.
Katie Stoll came off the bench to add 17 points for Canyons (3-1 in the conference).
The Master’s 63, La Verne 43--Tricia Plummer scored 23 points on 10-of-16 shooting from the field, and teammate Angie Davenport added 22 points and 12 rebounds as host Master’s (2-10) won a nonconference game at home.
San Diego State 97, Cal State Northridge 41--Shagarro Lattin scored a team-high 12 points and Dawn Broline added eight points and seven assists, but the visiting Matadors (0-18) shot 33% and committed 33 turnovers in a nonconference loss.
GIRLS
Westlake 57, Channel Islands 56 (OT)--Lauren Goldstine hit both ends of a one and one with two seconds left in a Marmonte League game at Channel Islands. Goldstine, a senior forward, finished with a game-high 28 points.
