SIMI VALLEY : Candidates Sought for Planning Panel
- Share via
Simi Valley city officials are accepting applications for an open seat on the city’s Planning Commission.
Applicants must be residents of Simi Valley and must not be employed with the city to be eligible for appointment to the five-member panel, city officials said.
The commission seat became vacant last week when Chairman Bob Barrett announced he was resigning because he had sold his house and is planning to move out of the city.
The council is scheduled to discuss nominees to the commission at its Feb. 24 meeting. Council members could make an appointment at that time, city officials said.
The deadline for submitting applications is 5 p.m. Feb. 19.
The commission, which advises the council on development matters, generally meets two Wednesday evenings a month.
