Honors, Honors: Francis Ford Coppola, who has 10 Academy Award nominations and four Oscars for films such as “Patton,” “American Graffiti” and “The Godfather,” will add the American Cinema Editors’ Golden Eddie Award to his lair March 21. The award is given “for distinguished contributions to the art and craft of film.” . . . The Directors Guild of America will make writer Charles Champlin an honorary member at the DGA banquet March 14. Champlin is the emeritus arts editor of The Times.
