Temple City : New Head of Sheriff Station

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Capt. Robert Mirabella has been assigned to oversee operations at the Temple City sheriff’s station.
Mirabella will be in charge of 197 sworn deputies, 46 civilian employees, 58 reserve deputies, 24 youth Explorer volunteers and 44 civilian volunteers, who provide law enforcement to 189,000 people in Bradbury, Duarte, Rosemead, Temple City, South El Monte and surrounding unincorporated areas.
Mirabella replaces Capt. Richard Walls, who held the position for three years before transferring to the department’s Inspectional Services Bureau.
A 22-year Sheriff’s Department veteran, Mirabella most recently worked 3 1/2 years at the Lakewood station, first as operations lieutenant and later as the liaison with nearby Long Beach.
Mirabella, 48, of Chino Hills is married and the father of three.
