Where to See Kid Productions

Even if you’re not interested in participating directly in youth theater, anyone can be an audience member.

Here is a sampling of upcoming youth theater events:

* March 21-29, “There’s a Monster in This Box,” an original musical. Parkdale Players (adult and child cast). March 21: Carlsbad Cultural Arts Center. March 22: Poway Center for the Performing Arts. March 29: La Paloma Theatre, Encinitas.

* May 8-10, “Rumpelstiltskin and the Witches,” Patio Playhouse, Escondido.

* May 8-17, “Robin Hood,” a musical version. Christian Youth Theatre-North County Inland. Kit Carson Amphitheatre, Escondido.

* May 15-24, “Charlotte’s Web,” a musical version of the children’s classic, La Paloma Theatre, Encinitas. Christian Youth Theatre-North County Coastal.

* April 17-May 3, musical version of “Alice in Wonderland.” San Diego Junior Theatre. Casa del Prado Theatre, Balboa Park.

* May 29-June 7, “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,” the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical. Coast Kids Productions. La Paloma Theatre, Encinitas.

* June 23-27, “The Wiz,” the musical, with a multicultural cast. Moonlight Amphitheatre Youth Theatre. Brengle Terrace Park, Vista.
