N. Y. Firm Increases Stake in TransWorld Bancorp

A New York investment firm has raised its stake in TransWorld Bancorp to 9.3% of the Sherman Oaks-based bank holding company’s stock.
In a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Fenimore Asset Management Inc. of Cobleskill, N.Y., said it bought an additional 109,515 TransWorld shares for $13 a share, or $1.42 million.
Fenimore bought the stock between Aug. 27 and Dec. 4, the filing stated. TransWorld’s primary unit is TransWorld Bank.
