ALHAMBRA : Boy, 15, Shot to Death While Riding Bicycle

A 15-year old boy was shot to death Tuesday night while riding his bicycle with two companions in Alhambra, authorities said.
Sheriff’s Deputy Irma Becerra said that officers are seeking Arnold Frank Morales, 28, a known gang member from San Gabriel, in the death of Byron Rivera of Alhambra. Becerra said Morales approached Rivera, who was also believed to be a gang member, and his companions as they were were riding bicycles on Benito Avenue.
Morales allegedly pulled a handgun and opened fire, striking Rivera several times in the upper body, the deputy said. Rivera’s companions were not hurt. Rivera died at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, Becerra said.
