PREP SOFTBALL ROUNDUP : Ward Improves Record to 13-1 as Woodbridge Beats Tustin

Alison Ward pitched a three-hitter in Woodbridge’s 5-1 victory over Tustin in a Sea View League softball game Friday at Woodbridge.
Ward improved to 13-1, and Jessica Montgomery was two for two with a triple, two walks, two RBIs and a run scored for Woodbridge (22-3, 6-0). Tustin is 4-2 in league play.
In another Sea View League game:
Newport Harbor 10, Corona del Mar 0 (5, mercy rule)--Jennie Colclasure (8-8) gave up three hits and struck out three for the victory at Corona del Mar. Kim DeMayo had two hits, including a double, and Lisa Bernhard had a home run for Newport Harbor (8-8, 2-4).
In the Academy League:
Heritage Christian 10, Cal Lutheran 6--Dena Fargo drove in three runs with a triple in a six-run sixth inning for host Heritage Christian (5-4, 2-3).
In the Arrowhead League:
Calvary Chapel 7, Sherman Indian 5--Sandy Farris had three hits, including a double, and drove in two runs for visiting Calvary Chapel (11-7, 6-0). Kim Schroy had three hits and drove in two runs also for Calvary Chapel.
In the South Coast League:
Capistrano Valley 5, Mission Viejo 1--Daniela Hugelshofer had a triple for visiting Capistrano Valley (9-8-2, 4-2). Kristen McDaniel had two hits for Mission Viejo (6-13, 2-4).
El Toro 5, Irvine 0--Misty Lauby (11-3-1) gave up three hits and struck out six for the victory at El Toro. Tricia Bulkeley, Jaime Smith and Meagan Juggert each had two hits for El Toro (16-7-1, 6-0).
In nonleague play:
Trabuco Hills 4, Sunny Hills 0--Winning pitcher Brianna Burkman (9-5) had nine strikeouts. Christy Lundsford went two for three with two RBIs. Trabuco Hills is 15-8, 5-1.
