A batch of brash burglars used a pickup truck Thursday to crash through the front door and window of a Mid-City stereo store, police said.
The dark blue truck, loaded with as many as 10 people, backed into Stereo Express at 4040 El Cajon Blvd. about 2 a.m., police spokesman Bill Robinson said. The burglars ransacked the shop, taking an undisclosed number of stereo components and speakers.
The thieves’ vehicle was described as a 1980s Nissan truck with a white camper shell with one or both taillights broken, Robinson said.
Witnesses told police that some of the burglars wore black L.A. Kings and L.A. Raiders clothing.
