Dalton Sets Softball Home Run Record
Glendale High’s Jenny Dalton hit three home runs Thursday against Muir in a Pacific League softball game, setting a Southern Section mark for home runs with 26.
Dalton homered in the first, third and seventh innings to pace Glendale to a 23-0 win and supplant Charter Oak’s Gina Karpinski (1983-86) in the record book.
Dalton has six home runs this season and is three shy of the state record of 29 held by Dee Dee Phillips (1979-82) of Laytonville.
