MAGIC MOMENT: Free AIDS testing has ended at Planned Parenthood’s five Orange County Centers. Nearly 10,000 people have taken the free tests since Planned Parenthood started them last July--triple the total expected. . . . “The Magic Johnson announcement in November just blindsided us,” says Planned Parenthood’s Nancy Dudley. “We simply ran out of funding to test for free.” The charge now is $35, but those tested still get free safe sex counseling.
