House of Fabrics Acquires Retail Chain

House of Fabrics Inc. in Sherman Oaks said it acquired Fabric King, which operates a chain of seven retail fabric stores in the Los Angeles area. The cash purchase price was not disclosed.
Fabric King had sales of about $8 million in 1991, House of Fabrics said. The acquisition boosts the number of fabric stores owned by House of Fabrics to 673.
