2 Caltech Professors Get Sloan Fellowships

Gian Michele Graf, assistant professor of mathematics, and Peter B. Weichman, assistant professor of theoretical physics at Caltech, are among 90 scientists to be awarded Alfred P. Sloan Research Fellowships in 1992.
Each will receive $30,000 in unrestricted research funds over two years.
The Sloan program was established in 1955 to identify young scholars of promise and offer them support at the outset of their careers.
Founder Alfred P. Sloan Jr. was chief executive officer of General Motors for 23 years.
