Cantor Lisa Sharlin has been appointed to serve on the clergy staff at Temple Beth Ohr of La Mirada along with Rabbi Lawrence Goldmark. She is a graduate of the UCLA department of music and is enrolled at the Hebrew Union College School for Sacred Music in Los Angeles.
She will sing the liturgy for all religious services at the temple, prepare Bat Mitzvah and Bar Mitzvah candidates and conduct the choir for the High Holidays. She will also teach music at the temple’s school. Temple Beth Ohr is at 15721 Rosecrans Ave. Information: (714) 521-6765.
