Perot Abandons His Campaign
I am one of the millions of Americans who is heartbroken and disappointed by Perot’s decision not to run for President. I still believe he would be the best man for the job. But we must avoid regressing back to a feeling of apathy. We must at least keep the promise we made to ourselves to get involved, and try to ensure that a change in the status quo will become a reality in November. We now have only one choice!
I realize Bill Clinton has been a part of the political system long enough to raise some doubts about his sincerity, but he is our only hope for possible change. Unless you’re part of the privileged elite or a die-hard Republican, I cannot believe how anyone could even consider George Bush as a viable option. I am deeply concerned that currently 35% of our citizens are willing to support Bush after four years of miserable failure to follow through on any of the promises he made to the American public in 1988.
