Recovery Plan: Los Angeles musician Buddy Collette will chair the first round of the Cultural Affairs Department’s Arts Recovery Plan, launched in response to the Los Angeles riots. More than 500 applications have been received seeking grants for recovery-themed arts projects. Between 100-200 are expected to be awarded next month. Cultural Affairs has raised $456,000 for the effort thus far, of which $206,000 is available for the first round.
