Camirin R. Schempp of Walnut and Robert Yrigoyen Jr. of South El Monte are among four students who received the Youth Leadership Award from United Way of Greater Los Angeles.
Schempp, a June graduate of Walnut High School, will attend Cal State Fullerton. She earned the highest award in Girl Scouting, the Girl Scout Gold Award.
Yrigoyen is a June graduate of St. Paul High School in Santa Fe Springs and will attend Cal State Los Angeles. He served as a counselor for the Epiphany Center’s Youth Advocacy program and is an Eagle Scout.
