COMMUNITY COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Cypress Defeats Chaffey in Water Polo

Erick Lynch scored his second goal midway through the fourth quarter to help Cypress to a 9-8 victory over Chaffey in a nonconference water polo match Wednesday at Cypress.
Lynch’s goal broke a 7-7 tie and the Chargers later went ahead, 9-7, before Chaffey closed the gap.
Marc Havran scored a team-high three goals for Cypress (5-5-1). Chaffey is 8-7.
In South Coast Conference water polo:
Fullerton 17, Mt. San Antonio 4--Chad Beeler and Jason Bird each had four goals for Fullerton (8-7-1, 1-1).
In nonconference women’s volleyball:
Golden West 3, LA Pierce 0--Becky Gehlke had 12 kills and Tracy Schriber had 10 kills and 12 digs to help two-time defending champion Golden West (5-0).
