Reseda Fire Guts House, Kills Man

Los Angeles city fire officials on Sunday were investigating the cause of a late-night blaze in Reseda that killed a 42-year-old man and gutted a house.
The charred body of the man, whose name was not released pending positive identification, was found by firefighters after they extinguished the flames at 17834 Cantara St., Fire Department spokesman Bob Collis said. The fire, which broke out about 11:45 p.m. Saturday, was doused by firefighters in about 20 minutes.
Damage was estimated at $150,000 to the structure and $65,000 to the contents.
No one else was injured.
