SHOW OF FAITH: Each Christmas season the city of Orange displays a Nativity scene, a Christmas tree, Santa Claus and Frosty the Snowman at the downtown Orange Plaza. This year there will be a new addition: a nine-foot menorah, compliments of the Jewish Student Union at Chapman University. . . . The student group asked the city to put up one last year, but the council pointed to a tight budget and a fear of using city finances for a religious symbol. So this year the student group is donating a menorah, and the city has accepted it.
