VENTURA : Holiday Concerts for Seniors Planned

Performances by Mark Douglas and the Notables and the Madrigal Singers will highlight two holiday events planned for Ventura senior citizens during the next two weeks.
The Christmas Dance on the Avenue, featuring the music of Mark Douglas and the Notables, will be held from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday at the Ventura Avenue Adult/Senior Center. Refreshments will be served.
Admission to the dance is $3, with tickets available at the door. Call 648-3035 for more information.
On Dec. 8, the Senior Holiday Party is planned from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the American Legion Hall, 83 S. Palm St., Ventura. Admission is free.
In addition to a performance by the Madrigal Singers, door prizes will be awarded and light refreshments served. Those who attend may also bring canned goods for donation to Project Understanding. More information is available by calling 648-2829.
The events are sponsored by the Ventura Parks and Recreation Department, Gold Coast Hearing Aid Centers and the American Legion.
