WESTMINSTER — Police Lt. Rick Main, a marathon runner, announced Tuesday that he will run in the Los Angeles Marathon to raise money for the Leukemia Society of Orange County on behalf of a 2-year-old girl who has the disease.
Main, who has begun training for the March race, is running on behalf of Haley Sudyka of Westminster.
“This is something that can make a difference,” said Main, who is collecting sponsors for the race.
Haley is being treated at Children’s Hospital of Orange County in Orange, Main said.
