SOUTHERN SECTION FOOTBALL PLAYOFFS : Esperanza, Los Alamitos to Play at Cerritos College

The rematch between the Esperanza and Los Alamitos football teams for the Southern Section Division II championship will be at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Cerritos College.
It’s the same site where Los Alamitos upset Esperanza, 7-0, for the Division III championship last season. Earlier this season, Los Alamitos (13-0) defeated Esperanza (12-1), 34-14, for the Empire League title.
Southern Section administrators also announced other sites and dates for divisional title games involving Orange County teams.
Irvine (12-1) will play host to Newport Harbor (11-2) at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Orange Coast College for the Division IV championship. The game is a rematch of an earlier Sea View League game that Irvine won, 28-17.
Duarte (12-0) will play host to defending Division VI champion Valencia (10-3) at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Citrus College. Duarte is led by former La Habra and Canyon Coach Bob Rau.
Second-seeded Rancho Alamitos (11-2) will play host to top-seeded Sunny Hills (11-1-1) in the Division VII title game at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Santa Ana Stadium.
Also on Friday, Bishop Amat (13-0) will meet Loyola (12-1) for the Division I championship at Anaheim Stadium.
