When in Venice (Italy) recently I was lucky enough to discover a new restaurant called Ai Mercanti that all visitors should know about. The restaurant is hosted by one of its owners, Renato Zaggia, who is also the mastermind behind the fabulous food. He has seen to it that his restaurant is both intimate and modern. And the food is light, exquisite and sophisticated at what are, for Venice, moderate prices. We had three meals there and were not disappointed by anything served. Ai Mercanti is located at S.
