HE PLAYED THE BLUES: Just over a week ago, “Godfather of the Blues” Albert King was thrilling a new generation of fans at the Rhythm Cafe in Santa Ana. One reviewer said King sang his signature tune “I’ll Play the Blues for You” at “full-throttle.” . . . It was his last concert. King died of a heart attack Monday at age 69.
