Jim Empey, who has served as a teaching professional at Riviera Country Club and as an assistant pro at Sherwood Country Club, was hired as men’s golf coach at USC. Empey, 31, replaces Randy Lein, who resigned in October after nine seasons to take the coaching position at Arizona State.
