Crafty Grant: The Craft and Folk Art Museum, which has been housed at the May Co. on Wilshire Boulevard since 1989, has received a $100,000 grant from the department store. The funds will help the museum move out of the landmark emporium (which is slated to close at the end of January) and expand on its original site, a few blocks east of the May Co. Plans include constructing a new 35,000-square-foot museum and a lease/option arrangement on an adjacent parking lot and 11,000-square-foot building.
