High-Tech Jobs Down: Orange County high-tech manufacturers cut back on staffing during December, reducing employment by 6.3% compared with the same month last year, according to a survey by CorpTech, a market researcher in Woburn, Mass.
The December survey of 651 Orange County companies with fewer than 1,000 employees was an about-face from a similar survey in November, which showed a 5.1% increase over the level a year earlier.
Nationwide, the December survey found, employment at small technology companies was off 1.1%.
