Jayne Young has been named president and publisher of Atlantic Monthly. She joined the magazine in 1986 and was named associate publisher in 1987.
Young succeeds Ira Ellenthal, who will assume a senior position at the New York Daily News.
Mortimer B. Zuckerman, who purchased the New York Daily News last week, bought the Atlantic Monthly in 1980.
